Improve Concentration – Get enough sleep
Sleep is vital to your child’s well-being and therefore their ability to function optimally in a school environment. Children between the ages of 5 & 12 need about 9 1/2 hours of sleep each night to function at their best. (For some, 8 1/2 hours is enough) Researchers have found that besides the various health benefits of getting enough sleep, it can also lead to improved creativity, concentration, memory and therefore better grades.
Not getting enough sleep can:
- Limit their ability to learn, listen, concentrate and solve problems;
- Lead to aggressive or inappropriate behaviour
